Bug Zapper Indoor

Now that summer has arrived people will do what they can to have fun and keep cool. This is one of the best times of the year to open the windows and allow the fresh air to come in and help cool us off. Unfortunately this can cause unwanted flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects to come inside. You can spend twenty minutes trying to kill one fly with a fly swatter or you can sit and watch as your indoor bug zapper does it for you.

How They Work

These are made with super bright LED lights – which are used to attract the insects to it. When they are inside of the zapper the electric grid will zap and kill them instantly. Unlike the outdoor bug zapper – there is no popping noise coming from it while it works. It is efficient and quiet and safe to use anywhere in the home.

Most brands will run using 7.5 watts of electricity and are plugged directly into an outlet. It can work for up to 100,000 hours or ten years. To clean it out simply remove the cover and throw the dead bugs into the trash. Make sure that you check the inside of it at least once or twice a week. These will cost between $20 to $30.

Where To Put It

It is important to place the indoor bug zapper in a room where it will do the most good. The kitchen is the first room that should receive one. The majority of the insects (especially flies) will congregate in this room because of the food that falls on the counters and floor.

The great thing about these is that they can be placed in any room in the house. They run cool – which means that if your pet or child touch them they will not burn themselves.
